'Slayer'

This piece looks best unframed as the paint has covered all sides of the canvas and each side has it's own story and colours. I wanted to create  something dramatic, colourful and emotional all at the same time. When I look at this piece I see an eye and a dragon hence the name 'Slayer'. I used different techniques to  make the paint open up and very much develop a personality as well as alter the colours. I love that I always visualise the direction I want to go but the outcome will actually be better than I could have hoped. Every time I look at this painting I see something new whether it's a colour or a new form or detail that I didn't see before.
